Provides an integrated software
solution to calculate & maintain kanban levels as your business
sales mix and volume changes. Kanban Manager imports data from
your current MRP/ERP software, and exports newly calculated
kanban levels back to your MRP/ERP software. This process allows
you to utilize the processing power of your current software
to manage electronic and or visual kanbans, while maintaining
data integrity and an integrated database structure.
Kanbans are fixed quantity reorder point/reorder quantity
values, that require maintenance over time as the business changes
in volume, mix, and lead time. Using the fixed order quantity
field in MRP/ERP. Kanban Manager views your history of usage,
or your forecasted usage, and calculates the kanban quantity,
and allows you to update the new kanban quantity in your MRP/ERP
item/inventory master record, therefore when a requirement is
triggered the correct amount is reordered either electronically
or by card/bin.
Kanban Manager can
also be used as a separate data base for the calculation of
kanban levels and the printing of cards, and output of reports.
The program maintains information normally stored in the inventory/item
master record of your MRP/ERP software, and allows you to change
requirements or usage history to calculate new kanban levels.
This gives you an easy way to get started with kanbans.
Kanban Manager is flexible, and provides
support options for a single user license, and for a networked
version.
We have included a what if menu in Kanban Manager,
to allow you the choice of printing manufactured, purchased
or both cards. We also have further given you the options of
selecting a supplier, or kanban location, a planner code or
revision level. These what if options give you plenty of granularity
in selecting specific areas to focus upon.
One feature included in Kanban Manager, is
the ability to select a % change or absolute value in a kanban
calculation for printing of cards or reports. This is important
as kanban quantities can change by a quantity of one (1), and
the printing of new cards will cause more work than necessary.
However in the case of the one (1) piece change being a 50%
change the card can be printed. In this case the change was
significant. |

rate, new kanban parts are added or existing kanban parts are
changed, and that change affects kanban replenishment.

cards, export kanban changes back to MRP/ERP order quantity
